Roger Bullivant provides a complete range of services to analyze, engineer and repair foundations.

Engineering Services
RB has a staff of engineers that can analyze and diagnose foundation problems and develop an 'Inspection Report', signed and sealed by a Professional Engineer, describing the nature and severity of the problem and offering recommendations for remedial measures, if appropriate. If structural repairs are required, an RB Engineer will develop, sign, seal and deliver any documents required by the local authorities in order to secure and close out a Building Permit. All RB engineering work is done in accordance with sound engineering practices, as outlined in "Guidelines for the Evaluation and Repair of Residential Foundations, Version 1" by the Texas Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Mr. Robert F. Pierry, Jr., P.E., President of Roger Bullivant of Texas, Inc., served as chairman of the sub-committee, consisting of volunteer, qualified Professional Engineers from across Texas that developed these guidelines over a two and one-half year period. Copies of the guidelines may be obtained from the ASCE Texas Section website for a nominal fee. All engineering work is also done in compliance with rules established by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. The RB Piling System®
The RB Piling System is based on our patented piling technology and uses reinforced concrete piles (4" or 5½" diameter) to provide foundation support and stability. The RB Pilings can be used for both interior and exterior foundation stabilization. The exterior piles are attached to the foundation with a bracket specially designed to provide the required support. Interior piles support the foundation through a pile cap. Both types of connections are designed with ease of access in mind. This design minimizes the amount of dirt needed to be removed so that only minimal disturbance to the landscaping is necessary. No huge piles of dirt are involved at all and most evidence of our work is not left overnight. In addition, Roger Bullivant provides a one-of-a-kind guaranteed minimum depth for its piles for complete peace of mind for the foundation repair of your home.

Jacking and Grouting
Roger Bullivant can use the RB Pilings to raise the foundation to reduce distress in the finishes and improve floor slopes. Roger Bullivant can also provide mud-jacking to aid in foundation lifting and grouting to fill voids as necessary when more uniform support of the foundation is desirable.

Epoxy Injection
Cracks in slab foundations that exceed 1/32" in width may affect foundation performance and will usually reflect through ceramic tile and vinyl floor coverings. By pressure injecting epoxy adhesive Roger Bullivant can repair such cracks.

Plumbing Testing
In expansive soils, increases in soil moisture can cause the soil to swell and push the foundation upward. Roger Bullivant can test the structures' subsurface plumbing lines to identify and locate plumbing leaks that may be one of the causes of foundation movement. Roger Bullivant can also conduct plumbing tests subsequent to raising the foundation to insure that any plumbing leaks caused by the work are identified and addressed.

Floor Coverings
For interior foundation repairs, floor coverings often need to be removed or are damaged for access. Roger Bullivant can include pricing to remove carpet and re-stretch it upon job completion. Ceramic tile, vinyl and wood floor covering restoration can also be included in our estimates.

Post-Tensioning Cable Testing
In post-tensioned slabs, either wide or numerous slab cracks may be indications that some or all of the post-tensioning cables are not stressed to recommended levels. Roger Bullivant can randomly test a representative sample of these cables to determine if this is an issue, then test and re-stress the remaining cables if initial testing indicates stresses lower than acceptable levels.

Cosmetic Repairs
Roger Bullivant works with subcontractors that can restore the finishes of your home. Brick and gypsum board cracks can be repaired, doors can be adjusted and new wallpaper and paint can be applied to restore your home to the way you like it.
